TFL holds waste water treatment workshop
TFL Italy’s sales team recently hosted a workshop for its local wet-end and beamhouse customers entitled ‘Products and technologies for the reduction of chloride, sulphate and chrome - an answer to the latest local regulations’. The workshop took place on November 24 in Montebello.
The discussion topic was particularly relevant for the tannery cluster of Arzignano as its wastewater treatment plant has been given a deadline before which it must reduce the above-mentioned substances in the effluent released. Because of this, representatives from the waste water treatment plant attended along with Arzignano’s mayor, Dr Stefano Fracasso.
Presentations were given by Dr Umberto Sammarco, Antoine Lenglart and Mariano Baldisserotto. After this, TFL presented recently launched products such as the TFL Hair Save System and ammonia-free deliming products. It also introduced a new non-swelling pickle acid Sellatan PA, which replaces all pickle acids used in the tanning process and reduces the chloride and sulphate released. It also improves chrome fixation.
