The Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) and the National Association of Italian Footwear Manufacturers (ANCI) have arranged for 16 Italian companies to take part in the 36th Couromoda to be held in São Paulo from January 12-15.

Ente Moda Italia (EMI) is also organising for various Italian companies to participate in the Preview of SP Prêt à Porter at Couromoda, where seven apparel brands will launch their ‘Made in Italy’ products.

The Italian pavilion will cover an area of 200 m² and will be a place for Italian companies to meet potential Brazilian partners for shoe production across Latin America.

According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development/Secex-Medic, 60,000 pairs of Italian shoes were sold in Brazil for $7 million between January and October. Italy imported six million pairs of Brazilian shoes.
