According to leaders of the Bangladesh Finished Leather Goods and Footwear Exporters Association (BFLLFEA) and Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA), the leather industry is suffering as a result of the global economic crisis. They told local media that the country was unwillingly storing up large quantities of leather and leathergoods as a result.
