More than 4,000 visitors at Guangzhou fair
The 2008 Guangzhou Leather, Shoe Materials and Bag Accessories Expo, held November 3-6 attracted 4,216 visitors, despite current challenging conditions in the global leather sector.
The expo, held at the Jinhan Exhibition Center, attracted visitors from all over the world including the US, Poland and Singapore.
An opening banquet was held on November 3 in Dongfang Hotel and guests included various shoe firm presidents, ministry of commerce representatives and leaders from the China Leather Association.
A number of events and activities were organised to corresponding with the fair, including Creative Leather Corridor, a static display featuring raw materials and finished leather goods. The Creative Leather Corridor presented the different ways leather can be used, for example in shoes, garments, toys and gifts, in cars and for furniture.
