Leather Tree expects strong Christmas Sales

While many fear Christmas sales will be low this year, LeatherTree.com, an online supplier of leather briefcases and leather desk sets, is expecting to have a very good Christmas.

Six months ago, it adopted a proactive sales campaign in anticipation of lower consumer demand. "We were hoping to simply maintain sales, and not lose money, and we ended up #426 in Internet Retailer Magazine's top 500 retailer list," said Jacqueline Berger, president of LeatherTree.com. "Many of our corporate customers have ordered entire leather desk sets and desk accessories for all of their offices to spruce up their images and show their clients they are a successful company."

Another top seller during the recent campaign has been leather binders, as many companies have ordered leather binders with debossed company names on for sales forces to use while on sales calls. "After all, carrying a high-class leather briefcase with a personalised leather binder exhibits professionalism, and shows prospective customers and clients that they are dealing with a successful company," said Ms Berger.
