According to reports, several potential bidders are interested in pursuing a takeover of furniture retailer Land of Leather.

While discussions are currently in their preliminary stages, and no firm offer has yet been received, there are hopes that bids will be forthcoming.

The UK-based firm has been one of the many casualties of the current economic crisis. It reported a 3% sales decline and an 87% drop in profit for the year ended August 3.
