Solofra is suffering

Italy’s National Union for the Tanning Industry (UNIC) has predicted that productivity at the Solofra leather cluster in the south of the country is likely to fall by 15% for 2008.
The organisation also warned that 2009 will be a difficult year for Solofra and the tanning companies that are active there.
Representatives of the leather industry there, and of the local authorities, have said they hope to become more active in promoting the leather produced there.
