Leather exports down

Brazilian leather exports generated revenue of $ 1.68 billion in the first ten months of the year, a drop of 8% compared to the same period last year. If the monthly average remains stable, 2008 leather exports should reach $2 billion, around $500 million short of projections at the start of the year.
Bovine leather exports account for more than 98% of the total.
