Lanxess expands sales network

Specialist chemical provider Lanxess has announced that it is expanding the sales network for its leather business unit in Brazil.
As of November, partner company Anisinos Indústria & Comércio de Produtos Químicos Ltda, currently in charge of sales of leather retanning and finishing chemicals in the south of Brazil, is to expand and become a seller at national level. Anisinos, which has one warehouse in Novo Hamburgo, intends to open others in the various leather manufacturing clusters across the country.
Also as of November, Unipelli Indústria Química Ltda is to start selling Chromosal B-A (basic chromium sulphate) in the state of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina which is distributed by Alcouro Comercial de Couros Ltda at national level.
Fábio Fonseca, manager of the Lanxess Leather Chemicals Unit, has said: “These changes strengthen even further our presence in Brazil. The level of growth of our sales representatives clearly showed that there was an unexplored market out there which was eager to use our products. The expansion of our sales network will make it possible for Lanxess to sell to the various regions where it does not sell directly yet, whether because of the lack of structure or geographical distance.”
In Brazil,Lanxess has approximately 420 direct employees who work in the company's units in São Paulo, Porto Feliz, and São Leopoldo.
