Vietnam still grows exports

Out of total Vietnamese exports of $48.5 billion between January and September 2008, the share of leather footwear and products was $4 billion compared to $ 3.4 billion in the same period in 2007, a growth of 17.40%, according to data released by General Statistics Office of
Vietnam.
The breakdown showed that Vietnam exported leather footwear worth $3.4 billion and leather products worth $595 million during January-September 2008.
During September 2008 alone, Vietnam footwear exports were worth $320 million against $300 million in the corresponding month last year. The export of leather products stood at $55 million opposed to $50 million, in September 2007.
