The recent opening of the new extension to the Stahl applications laboratory in Waalwijk in the Netherlands gave the chemical company's Colours & Tanning Products group to show customers the results achievable using a range of new wet-end products.
Synektans LFR and MSL are both lightfast syntans that are highly resistant to heat yellowing. They produce finely milled soft leathers.
Salem PE is a phosphoretic ester-based fatliquor that imparts a cloth-like touch and softness on lightweight leathers.
Salem HSP is a fully synthetic oil that will not fog under the conditions normally experienced in automobile use. A high-level of softness is achieved when combined with other oils and compact polymers. Salem HSP is light-fast and resistant to heat yellowing.
Salem LCN is a highly concentrated lecithin-based oil that can be used for creating a unique feel on low density, soft leather.
Corilene CP-MF is a new product in Stahl's range of compact polymers. Light-fast and resistant to heat yellowing, this new Corilene gives simultaneous softening and retanning.
‘A’range dyes are tested after production for migration in WBF (water-based finishes) and are then guaranteed against migration into other layers of the processing and finishing system.
