Air freight links to Sialkot, one of Pakistan’s main centres for the production of leathergoods and footwear, have improved with the launch of a new Qatar Airlines cargo service.
The airline will run a direct freight service between the city and Doha every Monday.
Chief executive, Akbar Al Baker, explained: “We have a strong commitment to strengthen our cargo network as we explore diverse and exciting cities such as Sialkot, which has an established export business. Sialkot is a perfect addition to the airline’s already strong Pakistan network, where we have two other cargo and four passenger routes.”
