Specialist leather chemical
supplier Zschimmer and Schwarz has formally launched a new facility at its plant in China.

The latest addition to its set-up in Foshan  in the province of Guangdong is a pilot plant covering an area of 185 square-metres in which the company’s technical staff will develop new, customised solutions for client organisations, carry out analysis and deliver training programmes.

In a speech to mark the event, Dr Martin Haberl, president of
Zschimmer and Schwarz Germany, commented on the sustained momentum of the Chinese economy and said he felt sure this meant the new facility would be put to extensive use. For his part, Boris Fleig, director of the company’s leather auxiliaries division, said Zschimmer and Schwarz had already had a presence in China for ten years, but that the new pilot plant would enhance the company’s ability to serve customers there.
