Hide delay closes tannery

The IUV tannery in Slovenia has announced that it had to close for a week, starting on November 3, because of a delay in receiving hides.
The tannery asked around 90% of its workforce of 640 to stay at home for the week after hides it had ordered failed to arrive. The company insisted it was a temporary measure and asked workers to return to work at the end of the seven-day measure.
