New Clariant products at Istanbul Leather Fair
Specialty chemicals supplier Clariant is to present a range of wet end and finishing solutions at Istanbul Leather Fair, which runs December 4-6.
Wet end products will include: new Derma Flor Dyes, an economical range for shoe upper and garment leathers; new Derma Soft Dye shades, designed to overcome the problem of levelness where paler shades are concerned; Tergotan PO-60 Paste, a lubricating polymer for automotive, upholstery and soft leather types; Derminol CO-50 Liquid, a multi-purpose combined fatliquor that acts as a replacement for natural egg yolk; Derminol PUA Paste, a drum stuffing compound, which offers a permanent pull-up effect on grain leathers especially after polishing, burnishing or hot plating; and Feliderm DP Liquid and Feliderm CS Liquid for chrome tannage.
Highlights from the company’s finishing range will include: Melio Aquabase RN-03 and Melio Aquabase RN-04, filling products developed for reverse roller coater application; Melio Ground UP, a high filling and sealing pre-base that maintains the crust softness; Aqualen Top LN.A, a new ecological top coat product for aqueous patent leather imitation; Aqualen Top DC-2050.A and Aqualen Top GC-2051.A, for soft leathers such as furniture leather or shoe upper leather nappas; Melio Resin A-931.A, a medium soft polyacrylic dispersion of low stickiness and high water-resistance; and Supronil HK dyes, concentrated solutions of metal complex dyes in water-miscible solvents.
