Record visitor numbers at ACLE
According to show organisers for the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE), China International Footwear Fair (CIFF) and Moda Shanghai, a record number of visitors attended the most recent edition.
Held September 3-5 in Shanghai, 1,126 exhibiting companies from 36 countries and regions participated. More than a quarter (26%) of companies at ACLE were in the semi-finished and finished leather sector, almost 18% presented process chemicals and dyes, some 12% showcased tanning machinery, more than 11% presented hides and skins and around 11% exhibited man-made leather.
Footwear dominated at CIFF and Moda Shanghai with more than 50% of exhibiting companies presenting shoes and almost 20% presenting handbags and leathergoods.
The total number of buyers for the three fairs rose to 15,755, of whom 13,893 were from mainland. Almost 42% came from the Shanghai district, almost 19% from Zhejiang, more than 10% from Jiangsu and around 10% came from Guangdong.
