Growth continues at LVMH

Luxury goods retailer LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has recorded revenues of €12 billion ($16.3 billion) in the first nine months of 2008. Organic revenue grew 10% compared with the same period in 2007.

In the third quarter of 2008, LVMH achieved annual organic revenue growth of 6%, particularly impressive following strong growth reported in the same period in 2007. Growth was largely driven by the Louis Vuitton segment.

Fashion and leathergoods achieved organic revenue growth of 12% during the first nine months of the year while Louis Vuitton recorded double-digit organic revenue growth during the same period. Good progress in the other brands, including Fendi, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs and Givenchy, continued into the third quarter.
