PrimeAsia awarded Gold status
PrimeAsia Leather Corporation’s Vietnam tannery has been awarded Gold status against the Leather Working Group’s (LWG’s) environmental protocol.
The LWG was formed by footwear brands and tanneries to assess the compliance and environmental performance of tanners and to promote sustainable and appropriate environmental business practices within the footwear and leather industry.
This recent accreditation confirms the company’s commitment to environmental transparency. All three PrimeAsia tanneries have now achieved either Gold or Silver status from the LWG. Its China facility was awarded Silver status in 2006 and became the first tannery in Asia to reach this level of performance.
PrimeAsia Taiwan followed suit with its own silver accreditation in December 2007.
