Canadian flooring company Torlys Inc. has created a new flooring range made from 100% recycled leather.

The new collection includes 12 different styles including Novara Black, Modena Wine and Genova Tan. The floors are made with a cork backing as cork is a natural insulator and is totally renewable. It also eliminates the need for an underlay in most cases, saving time and money on installation. They contain no harmful VOC emissions, no added formaldehyde, and exceed California Indoor Air Quality standards. Furthermore, they carry a 25-year wear warranty.

Vice president, marketing, John Kocemba, says: "Leather is definitely generating a buzz. Consumers love the combination of great looks, exotic feel and environmental benefit."
