E-Leather moves on footwear market

‘Composition’ leather manufacturer E-Leather Ltd is preparing to launch two new materials for the safety and children’s shoe sectors at the LineaPelle exhibition in Bologna (28-30 October).
The company says that new footwear materials it has put together for these market segments have been under extensive testing over the past six months. They will be showcased on the Pidigi stand, B18 to B22 and C17 to C21 in pavilion 26, at the show. Pidigi is the appointed representative and distributor of E-Leather in Italy, Tunisia and Morocco.
Doug Hacking, E-Leather’s managing director, said: “We are already in discussions with a number of footwear companies and retailers and our new materials offerings have been very well received. I am confident we will secure significant sales in these important sectors.”
E-Leather is a new product engineered from natural leather waste. It is supplied in rolls which results in only a 5% cutting wastage, the manufacturer says.
