Johnson Controls makes sustainability index again

17/09/2008

Automotive interiors provider Johnson Controls has been named on both the North America and the World lists for the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).

The list names companies that perform well on sustainability matters, with financial stability as one of the criteria. The initiative refers to these companies as being “sustainability-led”. This is the fourth consecutive year in which Johnson Controls has appeared on the list.

“We are honoured to receive this mark of distinction, which reinforces our commitment to sustainability,” said Charles Harvey, vice president for diversity and public Affairs at Johnson Controls, in reaction to the news. “Our placement in the DJSI World and North America indexes reflect our commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility and economic performance.”
