New waterproofing compounds from Trumpler

Trumpler has introduced a new range of waterproofing compounds under its TRUPOTEC banner.
The company has explained that the new compounds are based on extremely finely dispersed hydrophobic lubricant/polymer micelles, which facilitate the manufacture of products with a wide range of benefits allowing distribution and penetration of the waterproofing components to the individual fibrils.
In addition, they offer consistent repeatable results, ease of use, high emulsion stability, high area yield, excellent dyeability, wide application range, excellent water vapour permeability, economy of use, heat and light resistance, and the ability to produce firm to soft leathers.
The product range currently consists of two fatliquors: TRUPOTEC T for firm, tight-grained, hydrophobic leathers and TRUPOTEC S for mellow, high performance, hydrophobic leathers.
The products are designed to be used alone, but can if required be easily combined with one another to produce a wide range of leathers with varying temper and feel.
They have been extensively tested in tanneries throughout the world with excellent response in respect of their technical and commercial performance characteristics.
