Lorry's dangerous load of leather

Brazil's federal transport police have detained a lorry's 26-tonne load of bovine leather because of dangerous driving.

The vehicle was driving near the city of Teresina, the capital of the north-eastern state of Piauí, when the police pulled it over for unsafe driving. On inspecting the cargo and the documentation the driver was carrying, they confiscated the leather, saying the load was too great for the lorry and was at odds with the amount of the material stipulated on the shipment note.
