Singapore Airlines, the first carrier to put the Airbus A380 passenger aircraft into service, is to increase the number of flights for which it uses the new planes between Singapore and London.
On September 20, the airline will boost the frequency of its service from four to seven days a week.
The increase comes as SIA prepares to take delivery of its sixth A380, which the airline has configured with 471 seats.
As the world's largest passenger plane, the A380 has a maximum capacity of 853 people. However, the SIA interior incorporates 12 luxury first class suites as well as 62 business class seats, areas of the cabin in which high-end leather abounds.
