Celebrities choose leather for baby-changing bags

Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts and most recently, Nicole Kidman, are among the Australian celebrities to have chosen a more stylish option than usual for changing bag for their new babies.
And the bag they bought, Il Tutto, which comes in soft Italian nappa leather, is now available in Europe, starting with the UK. Retail prices start at around £150.
Leathergoods designer Lucie Trinco came up with the new bag to widen the options of new mums, who have usually had only pink or blue gingham cloth bags to choose from up until now. She has described Il Tutto as being as delicious as any designer bag, but twice as practical.
Ms Trinco has been designing bags for 15 years, having trained at the Whitehouse Institute in Sydney and the Marangoni Institute in Milan, before going on to work for Fiorelli, Jigsaw, Marks and Spencer, David Lawrence, Mambo and Oroton.
After observing women pushing “fabulously designed prams” but using “a horrible printed canvas bag” to carry around all the things they needed to change their babies, she decided to act.
She said on bringing the bag to Europe: “New mums don’t suddenly lose their sense of style when they have babies. They want a bag as gorgeous as their regular handbag, so it was my mission to find their dream solution.”
