ACLE opens

The All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) opened successfully in Shanghai on September 3.
The event, which first took place ten years ago in Beijing, is running concurrently with the China International Footwear Fair and Moda Shanghai events.
At the opening ceremony, Michael Duck, senior vice-president of organiser CMP Asia, said that ACLE had launched in 1998 to serve China's fast growing leather sector and to allow it to build links with suppliers and customers in the global leather market.
"There was an overwhelmingly positive response from the industry and in the years that followed we had a very real problem in finding sufficient exhibition space to cope with demand," he said.
This year's event attracted 1,126 exhibitors across the three events, representing 36 countries and regions.
