UK-based composition leather manufacturer E-Leather Ltd. has signed a contract with apparel and packaging firm SML Group. SML’s full eco range, which was developed to meet demand for eco-friendly hangtags, woven labels, care labels and speciality trim products, will incorporate E-Leather’s leather product.

Engineered Leather, or E-Leather, products are re-woven using surplus leather fibre and are supplied in rolls which results in just 5% wastage compared with up to 40% wastage for natural hides. The firm distributes its leather to the transport sectors including aviation, railways and automotive.
