Leather prices rise

According to figures from EUSTAT, industrial prices increased 0.4% in the Basque Country in July compared with June. Year-on-year industrial prices rose 6.4%.

The sectors that contributed to the monthly increase include leather and footwear (0.8%) and textiles and garments (1%).

The highest annual growth in price came from the oil refining, electricity, gas and water, and metal and non-metal minerals sectors.

The Basque Country is a region in the western Pyrenees that spans the border between France and Spain, extending down to the coast of the Bay of Biscay.
