PreVu, Inc., which acquired Wilson’s Leather earlier this year, announced last week that it had not received the financial backing required to turn the existing Wilson’s stores into accessories boutiques. According to reports, its stores at Mayfair Mall and Bayshore Town Center have now closed.

However, there have since been reports that the company will go ahead and convert the best-performing Wilson’s stores, which will target the high-end women’s sector. Goods will include handbags and accessories as well as lightweight apparel.

Having struggled to stay afloat for the past few years, Minneapolis-based Wilson’s, which specialised in leather jackets and accessories, sadly is no more.
