Elmec Sport has been licensed by New York-based leather goods firm Coach to import and distribute its handbags, shoes and accessories collections in Greece.

It has opened a new 180 m² sales outlet, based on the Coach design, in Kolonaki, following the April opening of its Athens store. The new store will mainly sell accessories for women and is part of its plan to open nine outlets in three years.

Coach employs approximately 7.500 people worldwide and its turnover reached $2.6 billion in 2007. Based in Athens, Elmec designs, manufactures and distributes a range of goods including footwear, apparel and accessories, primarily for the sports industry. It distributes for major brands including Nike and Harley Davidson.
