In an effort to create elegant shoes for women with larger feet, Kathryn Kerrigan has launched Kathryn Kerrigan Brand Footwear, a new shoe design and distribution business. Ms Kerrigan, who is six feet tall, is an avid athlete and wears a US size 11 shoe. She has made women’s shoes spanning from euro size 36 to 46 (US 6 to 14).

“Try walking into any designer shoe store and finding a beautiful, luxurious shoe in a size 12. It’s embarrassing and it should not be,” Ms Kerrigan said.

The autumn/winter 08-09 collection will be launched at various US shoes in September and October. It will include high-quality leather and suede boots, ballet flats, pumps and tall riding boots.
