According to reports, Japan may be looking to give Ethiopia’s leather, textile and garment sector a lift. Sasaki Katsuhiro, resident representative at Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has reportedly revealed that the agency has been researching ways of supporting this important sector in conjunction with the Ethiopian government.  

Mr Katsuhiro said the agency is looking into ways of expanding capacity within the country’s industrial sector as well as improving transport facilities.
