Clariant to present new leather solutions at ACLE
Clariant will showcase a new collection of leathers at ACLE (All China Leather Exhibition), which takes place in Shanghai from September 3-5. The company will show highlights from wet end to finishing under the motto ‘Sense the difference. Feel the fashion’.
Its leathers will be based on spring-summer 2009 and autumn-winter 2009-10 colour and fashion trends. They will include various types of leathers, including shoe upper, handbag, garment and furniture leather.
The firm will show how chrome-free leather can be created using its pre-tanning system Granofin FCC Liquid alongside re-tanning agent Tanicor SCU Liquid and a brand new development, Tanicor RS-31 Liquid.
Tergotan PMB Liquid and Tergotan TSP Liquid are polymer re-tanning agents, which help to provide even softness, tightness and grain pattern, while Derminol SJB Liquid and Derminol NLM Liquid are two fatliquors that can be combined at different ratios to offer softness, grain lubrication and tightness.
Two more new solutions include Dermaphob WA-70 Liquid and Dermaphob Wax-200 Paste, which work together to offer high-specification water proof leathers; in both traditional and pull-up types. And Derminol DDS Paste and Derminol PUA Paste are solutions for producing vegetable type and pull-up leathers. They are easy to apply and offer advanced burnish/polishability.
Melioderm is said to cover all dyeing needs, offering excellent fastness levels, a complete colour spectrum, good dyeing yield and economic value. It can be used universally to produce a wide range of shades. Three new solutions have been added to the Derma Soft Dyestuff range: soft beige, soft yellow brown and soft red brown. They are said to provide approximately twice the intensity of shade of the original members of the range.
