Tod’s posts positive first-half sales
Italian leather goods, shoes and apparel firm Tod’s S.p.A. has recorded higher sales for the first half of 2008.
In the first six months of the year, consolidated turnover calculated at constant exchange rates was €355.1 million, a 12.2% increase compared with the first half of 2007. At reported exchange rates, revenues were €347 million, representing growth of 9.7%.
Broken down into brands, Tod’s revenues were €180.8 million, up 7.7% at constant exchange rates, while Hogan revenues rose 24.4% growth with revenues of €117.1 million. Fay sales totalled €38.8 million in the first half of 2008, flat with sales in the first half of 2007, and Roger Vivier sales totalled €9.1 million, up approximately 35%.
Overall footwear revenues rose 17.7% to €242.2 million, while revenues from leather goods and accessories totalled €65.4 million. Apparel revenues totalled €39.1 million, posting a 6% increase.
Geographically, domestic revenues grew 17.3% in the first half to €182.1 million, while sales for the rest of Europe grew 3.7% to €83.5 million. US sales rose 8.2% to €30 million, and sales for all other areas were up 12.9% to €51.4 million.
