Production up in spite of leather

Venezuela’s industrial sector increased its overall output by 1.6% for the first half of the year, but the leather sector contributed to an almost 20% drop.
The government groups 46 industrial sectors into seven groups for the purposes of making these calculations,putting leather with unrelated activities such as electrical goods. Output from the group for the first six months of the year was 19.6% lower than for the same period in 2007.
