Expansion into Jordan

Lebanese tanning and leathergoods firm Albert’s Leather Crafting Company has announced plans to open a new production facility at the Ma’an Development Area in the south of Jordan, its first manufacturing site outside its home country.
The new site will attract an initial investment of $4.2 million and will aim to export 80% of the leather and leathergoods its produces.
The company’s general manager, Elias Albert El Hajj, said on announcing the move: “Based on our market research and studies we are glad to be taking this step in growing our business through the establishment of our new factory in Ma’an. The Ma’an Development Area offers distinguished incentives, while providing a strategic location, complete infrastructure, and remarkably well thought-out investment laws for foreign investors.”
