Fire hits Santa Croce tannery

Fire broke out at one of the tanneries in Santa Croce Sull' Arno on July 24.
Eye-witnesses said flames from the Gange Italia tannery were 25 metres high at their peak.
Local media said there had been considerable damage to stocks of hides and machinery inside the tannery. There were no reports of any injury to the people who work in the tannery.
