Exports for the first five months of the year of special national products from Peru increased by 21% compared to the same period last year, reaching $649.3 million.
Animals such as the apaca and the vicuña were an important part of this, contributing $31.5 million towards the total, not just live animals or the fibre from their coats, but also this year hides from these Andean animals.
