ScS could be taken over

ScS, one of the UK furniture retail groups facing severe difficulties in the slow economic climate, looks set to be sold.
The company suspended trading in its shares on June 22 after entering into negotiations with a bidder for all of its 95 stores.
It warned that shareholders stood little chance of recovering their investment if the sale went through, but it said the potential deal would provide it with enough work capital to keep all its suppliers on board.
One retail analyst said ScS had expanded too quickly in 2005 and 2006.
