DyStar is making "substantial increases" in the price of leather dyes and auxiliaries in response to what it has called "soaring energy costs and unprecedented volatility in the raw material market".

Burkhard Straube, vice president for global sales, said on announcing the news: “In the current environment we have to keep prices constantly under review. The cost pressure is extremely strong and adapting prices is necessary to ensure that the company remains a long-term reliable and innovative partner for the leather industry. The outlook for energy and raw material costs is unpredictable, this means our customers can expect more frequent changes in future, with movements in product prices both up and down.”
