Paraguay prepares to launch new leather industry body

Tanners and manufacturers of leathergoods in Paraguay are reported to be in the final stages of organising themselves into a new industry group, the Parguayan Leather Industry Chamber.
The main proposal is to increase the South American country’s level of hide imports with a view to adding value before re-exporting finished leather and leathergoods to developed markets, including the US.
