Seville company's high hopes for Indiana Jones hat

The Spanish company that made Indiana Jones's famous hat with a leather band is hoping to cash in on the now much more lucrative movie merchandising market.

The adventurous archaeologist has returned to the silver screen in a fourth film, 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' almost 20 years after the third in the series was released. Since then, companies like Disney and Warner Brothers have begun to make millions from merchandise issued in parallel with successful films.

The new Indiana Jones film will follow this trend by making various items, including the hat worn by star Harrison Ford, available to fans.

The hat, a fedora, made from a mixture of felt and beaver hair, is made by Seville-basd Industrias Sombrereras Españolas (Isesa) and the manufacturing company has said it will make replicas for Indiana Jones fans to buy, at around €150 a time, and wear.
