Leather chemists to meet in the south
28/05/2008
Italy’s association of leather chemists, AICC, is preparing for its annual meeting, which will take place in the souther province of Avellino on May 30.
President, Giancarlo Dani will be in attendance, although it will be vice-president, Biagio Siani, who gives the opening address.
A series of presentations will follow that will aim to give a perspective of the past, present and future of the tanning industry. The 'past' element of this will consist of a presentation Italian archaeologists have put together on a tannery cluster in Ancient Rome, discovered when engineers in the capital were working on a high-speed rail project.
