21/05/2008

The Missouri Department of Agriculture is hosting a seminar in Springfield on May 22 to explore the possibilities for local companies to increase the level of business they do with Vietnam.

Representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Washington D.C., the Food Export Association’s Chicago office and EXIM Bank’s Chicago office featured on the programme. Sharing their business experiences in the Vietnam market will be representatives from Clayton AgriMarketing and North Pacific Lumber and retired international executive Pedro Pantoja.

Missouri’s exports to Vietnam increased 75% between 2006 and 2007, according to the department, with leather-related products, chemicals and processed foods leading the way.
