14/05/2008
The province of Ceará in the northeast of Brazil has recorded a huge increase in leather exports.
Figures the authorities have released for the first four months of this year show an increase of 77.9% in exports of leather and leathergoods compared to the same period last year.
Ceará has been, and is still, offering incentives to companies in the footwear to set up factories there.
