Call for papers for Calzatecnia 2008

The organisers of the Calzatecnia event in Mexico are inviting people interested in presenting a paper at the congress to get in touch in the next few weeks.
Organised by the Mexican Leather and Footwear Research and Technological Consultancy Centre (CIATEC) and the National Science and Technology Council (CONACYT), Calzatecnia 2008, the XXX International Footwear Technology Congress, is to be held in León, Guanajuato, on 22 and 23 August. This time, the title of the congress is 'Re-imagining the footwear business'.
The organisers are inviting all footwear professionals, technologists, suppliers, manufacturers and academics to take part in the event.
The matters to be dealt with at the congress include sales strategies for a given market niche, fashion, the global market today, innovation in footwear production, and logistics adapted to footwear industry's current needs.
Abstracts must be submitted by e-mail before June 2, 2008. Selected papers must be received by the organisers by June 14. For further information, please visit www.calzatecnia.com.mx.
