Seven fire crews rushed to a tannery in the Brisbane suburb of Narangba after fire broke out inside the building.

There were no reports of anyone being missing or injured.

The authorities in the district to the north of the city have warned residents not to inhale smoke from the fire for fear it may be toxic.
