Koreans interested in South African resources

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sibusiso Ndebele has challenged towns in the South African province to stimulate their local economies by making use of products and materials that they have to hand in their communities.

He said leather, with local cattle as the source, was one example.

Mr Ndebele said a South Korean group had recently visited KwaZulu-Natal to talk about using local timber in a new furniture factory they were planning to set up in the area. He suggested that tanning groups could, in future, make similar moves.
