DyStar to exhibit innovations at Shoes & Leather

25/04/2008

DyStar has added a number of innovations to the product range and will have some of them on display at the Shoes & Leather exhibition in Guangzhou on May 28-31, including new tanning agents in powder form.

At Guangzhou the company will be exhibiting leathers produced with two newly developed products: Tannit REP and Tannit PSW.

Tannit REP is a melamine resin, which improves tight grains, while Tannit PSW is a full syntan with strong filling action. Together with high-quality fatliquors from the Eskatan and Cutapol ranges, Dystar says these tanning agents produce soft, supple yet tight-grained automotive, garment, upholstery and shoe upper leathers.

It will also feature leathers produced with Tannit DCN, which was developed especially for shoe uppers made from loose-structured leather. Tannit DCN gives a tighter grain and renders leathers firmer and more solid, the company claims.

All the leathers and furs on show were dyed with Solvaderm leather dyes or Solvaderm fur dyes for brilliancy and fastness. Tannit DPS leveling agent was used to optimise the levelness of bright shades.

Visitors to DyStar’s stand will also be able to view the company’s new shade card, which includes three new shades.
