March improvement

During the month of March, Pakistan's leather sector exports showed a growth of 19.9% to $118.8 million from $99.1 million in February 2008 and 29.15% if compared with March 2007 ($92 million), according to data released by Federal Bureau of Statistics, Government of Pakistan today. This was possible mainly due to increase in export of leather garments.
Pakistan's total leather sector exports during the first nine months of the current financial year (July-March) are up by 26.1% to $907.1 million from $719.2 million in same period last year.
